A local genealogy society whose website includes transcribed 19th-century marriage records and county cemetery records. The Brazos Genealogical Association merged with the Ramblers in 2013.

George H.W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum

Its archives include textual materials such as letters, memos, and reports; audiovisual materials such as photographs, video, and recordings; and museum objects such as personal items and gifts. Search the Digital Research Room online, schedule an in-person visit to the research room, or request reproductions of specific items.

George H.W. Bush Presidential Library & Museum

The museum's permanent exhibits explore American history and the Bush presidency, including "Gifts of the People," "Symbols of the Presidency," "Duty, Honor, Country," and exhibits on the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Pierce Family. Special featured exhibits are also on display.

Museum of the American G.I.

Preserves historical uniforms and equipment and honors American servicemen and women through living history displays. Exhibits include restored running WWI, WWII, and later-era military vehicles, wartime posters, uniforms, and collections on paramarines, military nurses, and special forces.

Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History

Founded in 1961 to preserve and protect natural and cultural history. Interactive exhibits include live animals in the Discovery Room, taxidermy collections, and Boonville Heritage Park, which features an original 1856 log cabin on its 11-acre grounds.

KBTX

The primary television station for the Brazos Valley. Signed on the air May 7, 1957 and still located at their original location on East 29th Street in Bryan. KBTX is an affiliate of CBS, The CW, and Telemundo. Celebrating 70 years of serving the Brazos Valley in 2027.

The Eagle

Centered in Brazos County, the paper covers an eight-county area around Bryan-College Station that includes Texas A&M University. First published by attorney Richard M. Smith as the "Weekly Eagle" on October 26, 1889. It transitioned to a daily in 1913.

  2. Put the name of the reference item you are requesting on the first line of the message.
  3. Limit your request to one or two specific items. Please no broad surname requests.
  4. Keep your request simple, and thank your volunteer for their time and effort.
